KEN EGAN – Managing Director

Ken is Managing Director of SMX consulting as well as a senior SAP Programme/Project Manager and Strategic SAP consultant. Ken has over 14 years experience in working with SAP, starting out as a SAP Logistics analyst, moving on to SAP Project/Programme Management and to providing strategic SAP services to clients.

Ken has project managed a number of large-scale SAP Projects and consistently provides strategic SAP services to customers, including Business Case development, Programme Management and Quality Assurance.

Ken has also previously held ‘Business Development Manager’ roles with Enterprise Processing Consulting (EPC)  and Leading Edge Ireland.

MIKE KEANE – Technical Director

Mike Keane is a senior ABAP consultant and Team Leader with 12 Years SAP ABAP design & development experience and over 20 years of IT consultancy experience. Mike is a business oriented ABAP consultant and has a good knowledge of business processes and can quickly and accurately understand processes prior to producing the technical design & development of client requirements.

Mike has participated in many SAP Implementations, Upgrades, Archiving projects and Maintenance Support Contracts as a senior ABAP consultant/team leader. As part of his responsibilities Mike has managed both permanent and contract ABAP consultants as well as client’s internal ABAP resources.

Mike has also in the past been a Technical Team Manager for an indigenous SAP consulting firm; managing a large team of ABAP consultants (20+) with responsibility for recruitment, utilisation, client assignment, training and career development; as well as providing technical support to the team.

For the past 6 years Mike has been the Technical Director for SMX Consulting Ltd. In this role Mike has provided technical ABAP consultancy and team leadership to a number of clients as well as responsibility for recruitment, management and QA of ABAP sub-contractors for same clients. Mike also has 6 years of SAP BC (Business Connector) Administration & development experience in producing web based reporting of SAP data.

SIMON HOLOHAN – Financial Director

Simon is a Qualified Accountant with over 11 years SAP experience. He is extremely strong in all SAP Financial Modules elements and among the few experienced SAP FM/BCS consultants in Ireland. Simon is fully SAP Certified as an FI consultant (Version 4.6C).  Simon started his career as a Financial Accountant in the banking arena before moving into implementing financial software systems.  He spent a number of years implementing SAP FI modules across Europe and Australia.

Simon has implemented SAP in numerous industries including FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Telecoms and Construction.  Simon also has extensive SAP design, implementation and support experience in the Government sector.
